There is evidence to suggest that John took over responsibility for James children in Melbourne when James died at the age of 34 with 7 people to support. John Noonan enrolled Robert Noonan 1836 (son of James), in school after James' death. In 1847, John 1800 took Robert and William (sons of James) with his family to live in Kilmore.
